South Suburbs

The Southern Suburbs of Athens are a group of municipalities, built south of the center of Athens, between the Ymittos and the Saronic. Initially, the building activity started on the occasion of the installation of the Ellinikos airport, but soon they formed a special building style, combining mountain and sea.

Beautiful, cosmopolitan and popular side of Attica. The southern suburbs, with the coastal zone of Athens, extend from Moschato and Kallithea to Vouliagmeni and Vari. Following the coastal road you pass through Paleo Faliro, Alimos, Kalamaki and Elliniko, you pass through Glyfada and Voula, Kavouri and Vouliagmeni until you reach Varkiza Varis. South Attica has the uniquely beautiful Athenian Riviera, an excellent tourist destination for any Greek or foreign visitor to the country's capital. With Lake Vouliagmenis as a springboard, you will enjoy your swim in the beautiful coastline of Attica just a breath away from the city. You will get to know the natural, archaeological and cultural interest of the wider area, such as the Temple of Apollo Zostiros in Asteras Vouliagmenis, the Archaeological Park of Kavouri. Thanks to its rich nightlife, luxury shops and hotels, beaches and its relatively close distance from the center of the capital, the coastal zone is the most expensive residential area of Athens along with the northern suburbs. In the southern suburbs, Glyfada steals the eye, which is the largest commercial, financial, culinary and entertainment center of the south of Attica. Shops reminiscent of big cities abroad, super stylish all day cafe bars and restaurants and a marina with impressive boats make up the dream setting.
